Why did we do this again?

I joined the Wave Trophy 2016 for an evening in Biel and got the chance to attend the speech of Dr. phil. Daniele Ganser. He's a Swiss historian who worked at several universities until he founded SIPER - the Swiss Institute for Peace and Energy Research. In his speech he pointed out very convincingly how, where and why wars are fought for resource allocation (oil and gas) - from a historian's point of view. As I doubted the official version of 9/11 from the very beginning and was accused to believe in conspiracy theories, the first part did not surprise me much - until he explained the backgrounds of the war in Syria. I was dumbfounded and it actually made me feel sick in my stomach that me too was completely unaware of what is really going on. The english version is a bit short unfortunately and the german version has bad audio. But anyway it's still highly recommendable to watch!
After loosing a bit track of the main reason in the past 2-3 years, I realized again why I did this conversion. It's environment protection too, sure. But the main reason is: Electric cars are the only way to get out of this mess we're currently in. I think there's a lot of merit to Mr. Ganser's explanations in his book that since World War I (not II !!) all wars where "western" countries are directly involved are mainly not to free people(s) from dictators, they're not about introducing democracy in the middle east, they're not to fight terrorism - on the opposite, they are providing the nutrient medium for it and benefit from the fear it causes! The only two reasons western countries are involved in or causing wars are: obtain access to oil and gas reserves.
And the only way to stop this is to become self-sufficient, to use a renewable energy for transportation which can be produced locally. There's no need to invade or destabilize other countries if all you need is electricity and heat from your roof-top.
Well, the next reasons for wars are then clean water and once the oil crisis hits of course it becomes pretty basic: food to fight the famine. But let's be positive here.

BTW: Youtube has a new stupid policy where you're only eligible to monetize your videos if you get enough watching hours per years. I'm not depending on it so there's no need to beg but if you like the videos and want to support my crazy endeavor, just open the video playlist in a background tab/window and mute the audio so we get the required 4000hrs - if you're bored, you can also click some of the ads :) . If we don't make it, I'll take the videos down on youtube and move them to vimeo.

  2. ...electric cars (charge in street-lamps)... installing on every normal street-lamp of the World e.g. at exterior of the tube to 1 mt height from ground, a plastic ribbon screwed and rain protected with 4 opposites standard electric-plugs 220 v.ac (each street-lamp, already with activated current 24 hours, can have a light-sensor for automatic on/off). Each electric car exits from factory obligatorily with 2 electric-plugs for 220 v.ac, one of entrance at front and other of exit at rear, and 1 connection cable with 10 mts, so the cable stay always over ground between street-lamp/car or car/car. ENTRANCE-PLUG: the own car´s converter adapts the network-current to the adequate voltage of the car. EXIT PLUG: free available for whichever car that arrives after and cans connect to the car before. So nobody has that wait for, all cars that arrive to street-lamp they can connect in line one another. When a car finishes its charge, if wants disconnects all and runaway, the other cars go advancing towards the street-lamp and connect again one another. So nobody has that wait for. How the GRAPHENE BATTERIES Have Not Memory Effect, they can disconnect/connect without problem with any charge level. If government has that give money for that electric-charge to each one, can do it applying a money-charge by kms/year declared. Electric car´s charge solved the problem. Have to install already the plugs in all street-lamps around the World...and the factories must to put those 2 electric-plugs to all cars, finished the electric-charge´s actual problem, for electric cars.

  4. ...interstellar travel constant acceleration (without religion "feasts": Inquisition)… when until goes to continue the world the "feasts" of religion enduring?... What a beautiful is the "Christ"mas!, but...that still only has the splendid showcase and after with the back-room of religious gloomy darkness, horror and crime. No more wiles to innocents, make already the authentic Birthmas, the Nativity from the wonderful real women, and not from the inhuman-religious tales. Have to transform already ALL the "feasts" of religion into TRUE HUMAN FESTIVITIES, that not "pagans", nor do "mundane". Have that send already once and for all the religion, what religion, mine, yours, or of those?, all religions: the religion...to the trash. Without delinquency, a New World based on Truth and Justice. No more religion for to continue "forever and ever" the religious infecting global media, enterprises, governments, schools, high schools and universities with their ancestral system buys-wills, if you want have a job, house and a car on the door, already you know put the neck in the priests, with their thousands of millions of "believers": Bought, or Innocents, or Ignorant… No more religious tale Time counting false "century XXI, year 2019 a.c."... A Planetary Convention to select the True Starting of the History...if from beginning of the Bronze Ages: on Earth Planet, century 66... Merry Birthmas and Happy New Year 6519.

  5. Hallo Michael, Ich bin wirklich beeindruckt von dem Umbau! Ich habe erst jetzt von Ihrem Projekt gelesen und bin wirklich sprachlos! Alles wirklich genial gemacht und gut durchdacht. Ich habe noch eine Frage: Könnte eventuell ein Axialflussmotor von Magnax beim Gewicht helfen?

  6. Guten Tag Herr Neuweiler,
    Ich kontaktiere sie bezüglich ihres Projektes zum Umbau des Volvo S80 zu einem Elektrofahrzeug, auf welches ich vor kurzem über einige Zeitungsartikeln aufmerksam wurde. Zu allererst möchte ich ihnen für ihr Projekt und Pionierarbeit der eigens gemachten Elektrifizierung des Volvos gratulieren.
    Mein Name ist Curdin Wüthrich. Ich bin aktuell als Doktorand an der EPFL in Lausanne im Bereich Energie tätig. Zusammen mit einem kleinen Team von jüngst diplomierten und motivierten Ingenieuren möchten wir im Kanton Waadt ein Pilot-Projekt aufgleisen. Unser Ziel ist es, einen bewohnbaren Van, der sein thermisches Lebensende erreicht hat, zu elektrifizieren. Darüber hinaus möchten wir die Dachfläche nutzen, um den benötigten Strom eigens mit einem entfaltbaren System von Solarzellen mit ~6kWp zu generieren. Nicht zuletzt, möchten wir den Lebensraum mit möglichst umweltfreundlichen und recyclierten Materialien bauen. Mit bewiesenen Low-Tech Konzepten möchten wir die praktisch 100%-tige Autonomie mittels erneuerbarer Quellen erreichen.
    Wir würden uns freuen, ihnen das Projekt weiter erläutern zu können und uns zum Thema der Elektrifizierung mit ihnen unterhalten. Ich denke, wir würden sehr viel von ihnen und ihren Erfahrungen lernen können. Unter anderem hätten wir einige Fragen bezüglich Immatrikulation in der Schweiz.   7. Hi Michael, I am really impressed by your work! I am working on a project to convert 2000-2014 cars, on a larger scale, from a sustainability point of view. Iam doing this in collaboration with EVEurope and Beelen Mobility in the Netherlands. We are about to start the first prototype and are looking at Volvo XC90. We see huge potential, (sustainable) funding seems accessible, but we seem to be looking at some CAM/ECU challenges. Perhaps we can cooperate in this?
